Early last year, deciding our old helmets had aged and needed to be replaced, my wife and I did a thorough analysis of the available helmets and read all we could. We purchased two Nolan N43 N Com helmets. Aside from loving the comfort, there is no doubt that this helmet saved my wife's life and maybe mine as well. While riding in North Georgia last fall, we had a tangle with a cattle truck missing a turn and taking our side of the road. We managed to scrape by the truck but were pitched off our Gold Wing. My wife bounced off her airbag (me) and flew at least 20 feet, landing squarely on her face shield. Now this is not a full face helmet, but the insulated structural flip up shield held in the down position took the full hit. Other than some scraped hands and bruises, and a ruined helmet, she was fine. I wasn't so lucky but my helmet did some heavy duty protection. Allstate bought us two new Nolan's as well as replacing riding boots and jackets - the gear saved them a bunch of bucks! Thank you Nolan!

Just want to send a couple of lines to inform you that one of your helmets that I purchased new saved my life, I had an accident on interstate 40 in the state of AZ. I was riding a Harley Davidson FLHTCU and had the cruise control set at 75 mi. per hr. The speed limit is 75 on that area and so for no reason the handle bars started shaking left and right and I couldn’t disengage the cruise control so in a couple of seconds the front wheel twisted to the left and I was ejected like a projectile at that speed. I landed on the pavement at that speed, rolled and slid for like a block and a half and while I was rolling and tumbling I hit the pavement with my head several times and nothing happened, not a scratch on my head or face. I just broke my wrist and lot of road rash but I survived to tell the story. I believe that I am not supposed to be alive but still here thanks to my Nolan helmet.

Thank you for making a great product! I am a club racer here in Colorado and high sided in a race yesterday in my Nolan 602 Stoner replica and landed on my head and shoulder. While I broke my collarbone my head is no worse for the wear and it was fine. Thanks for making such a great product.

I am writing to thank you so very much for your work in developing a SAFE helmet.  My husband and I were on separate motorcycles, with him in the lead riding outside edge.  I rode back a few bike lengths and inside along the line.  When a pick-up truck turned left in front of my husband, he had 20 feet to get out of the way.  Rather than t-bone his head into the truck door, he opted to lay his motorcycle down and hopefully skid a bit.... but at 55 MPH, he did his best, but bounced once and cart wheeled like a ragdoll in front of me.  After rolling twice too, he now is facing the opposite direction with his legs over the centerline...in my path.  I had more time, did skid, but could keep my bike under control and not HIT the man I married 40 years ago.  No, the picture was not pretty for me to see, but thinking of his head hitting and his brains splattering out seems it would be worse.  He thankfully had NO concussion.  Though unconscious for awhile, his memories of meeting the pavement were erased.  I am so thankful and amazed at how well your helmet protected his chin and head.  I was not a fan of full face helmets of any kind for about a dozen years, comfortable in my 'shorty' DOT approved helmet.  He insisted we buy the Nolan convertibles for our 35th wedding anniv.  Now the 'proof is in the pudding' so to speak and we will always wear your quality helmets.    
Please thank your R and D people for their excellent knowledge.  Myself, our children, grandchildren and his biker friends and whole congregation of parishioners will be forever grateful.   God bless you all.

My wife recently had an accident where we hit a deer in the middle of Wyoming and I am pleased to say that we were both wearing your helmets (N42nc). I am very thankful that you put as much research in to the design of your helmet and the face shield. The helmet did not fail and the face shield did not shatter or come apart. Again thank you and I will be wearing another Nolan helmet when I get back on my motorcycle.

I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your helmets, I am alive.  On July 26th, I was riding on the Cherohala Skyway in the Smoky Mountains in Tennesee, United States.  I took a spill on my bike going around a corner at 40 mph and flipped over the handlebars on my bike and landed head first on the ground.  I was wearing a Nolan N100E flip face helmet.  The helmet took a direct hit to the front left side of my face and I then rolled about 100 feet.  Looking at my helmet afterwards, I can see another impact over my right ear where my head hit the ground again. 

I walked away from this accident with two dislocated shoulders, and some road rash.  I had absolutely no broken bones, and most importantly, no head injuries.  I have included pictures of my helmet showing the impact points.  The helmet stayed in one piece and did its job.  Even though a large part of the impact was on the face shield, it did not crack or pop off like some people said would happen with a flip face type helmet.

I was always happy with the helmet before the accident, and now that I've crashed once with it, I will be buying another one just like it to replace it.
